Accessibility

How Tintjong works with the accessibility features of iPhone and iPad, and what is still missing.

What the game supports

In the Fruits and Enamel sets every tile is told apart by its picture and shape, not only its colour. Blocked tiles are shaded, so free ones stand out. Button text has about 4.6:1 contrast or better. The system Reduce Motion setting turns flips and reshuffles into short dissolves, removes the shake, the bursts and the full-screen paint zoom, and lets matched tiles fade where they are. Menus, settings, the shop, the gallery and the tile sets carry VoiceOver labels; open windows keep VoiceOver inside them, and store notices and the first-level tip are read aloud. Menus and settings follow the system text size.

Playing with one finger

Tap two matching free tiles to clear them: one tap per tile, no dragging. There are no timers. In the optional Hidden tiles mode, a pair that doesn't match stays face up for about a second before it turns back. Sound, music and haptics can each be switched off in Settings.

Known limitations

The board cannot be played with VoiceOver or Voice Control. Some small numbers, such as the pairs counter at the top, don't grow with the text size. In the Gems set some pairs differ mainly by colour. These are on our list.
